Hello! I finally got around the putting this blog up! I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful Christmas. We miss all of you!
Brian and I are really feeling good about our move here. My job is going well. It's a really good program and I feel good about what I do. Brian is actually looking at the possibility of taking the course, so we'll see how that plays out.
We've had a pretty exciting time so far. The first weekend we were here, we went to a Hurricanes hockey game, which was a BLAST. The next weekend we drove about two hours to New Bern to see my cousin Matthew play in a rock show and went to dinner with my extended family.
We had a really nice first Christmas together. Brian made an AMAZING Christmas Eve dinner - vodka cream pasta, salad, bread, and creme brulee for desert.
Brian got me a Samsung Pebble MP3 player and White Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie. I got him three movies and a bag of carmel popcorn. Two of the movies were Dickson family classics, Christmas Vacation and Strange Brew (not bad, eh?). We spent Christmas day watching movies and hanging out with my family and had a fabulous prime rib dinner.
My uncle plays bass for Tim Reynold's band, so we're hoping to go the beach and see them play for New Year's Eve.
Other than that, we love our apartment and our Christmas decorations and each other, and we're starting to settle in here. I'll be sure to post some pictures of the new place and some of our adventures soon. :)
